Attention commercial pilots! If you’re pursuing your Airline Transport Pilot Certificate, our ATP-CTP is required to qualify for the ATP FAA Written Test.
We are proud to offer a meticulously designed program that includes 5 ground training days and two simulator sessions at Miami Executive Airport. Furthermore, you can be confident that your training will be provided by active airline transport pilots, ensuring real-world insights and expertise.
This training course is designed for people who want to meet the eligibility requirements for the ATP knowledge test outlined in 14 CFR 61.156.

ATP CTP FOR ADF FLIGHT SCHOOL STUDENTS
The ATP CTP course at ADF Flight School, as a supplement to the student curriculum, is meticulously designed to broaden the knowledge of pilots holding a commercial pilot certificate, preparing them for the complexities of the air carrier environment. Our comprehensive curriculum is divided into two main segments: Academic Training and FSTD Training.
Academic Training Segment:
- This phase incorporates various knowledge tests and quizzes, culminating in a final written exam.
- Students take a comprehensive capstone test upon mastering all academic sections.
- Successful completion may result in instructor approval, allowing the student to advance to the flight training phase of the course.
Highlights of the course content:
- Delve into essential areas such as high-altitude operations, advanced aerodynamics, and regulations under Parts 121 and 135.
- Learn about failover techniques, weather considerations, low visibility operations and more.
- Other critical topics designed for future airline transport pilots are also covered to ensure a comprehensive learning experience.
Structure of the flight lessons:
- Each lesson begins with a pre-flight briefing, which summarizes an introduction or review of the maneuvers, the time allotment for the lesson, and expected progress prospects.
- Post-flight debriefings are just as vital, providing critique of student performance, necessary support, and a glimpse of the subsequent lesson.
- Our Training Course Outline (TCO) provides clear lesson objectives and sets definitive completion standards, ensuring your learning journey is enriching and successful.
Course Structure:
- 32 Hours of Ground Training
- 8 Hours of Debriefing/Briefing
- 4 hours on A320 FTD (Flight Training Device)
- 6 hours on A320 FSS (Full Flight Simulator)
- Course Duration Breakdown:
- 7 Days total with
- 40 hours dedicated to Ground Training
- 10 hours focused on the A320 Flight Simulator
Student Enrollment Requirements:
- Holds an FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with an Instrument Rating or;Â
- Meet the military experience under 14 CFR 61.73 to qualify for a commercial pilot certificate and an instrument rating if the person is a rated military pilot or former rated military pilot of an Armed Force of the United States or;Â
- Holds either a foreign airline transport pilot license with instrument privileges or a foreign commercial pilot license with an instrument rating, issued by a contracting Stated to the Convention on International Civil Aviation, with no geographical limitations.Â
- Students must complete the TSA background check requirements as established by law.Â
- Remember, once you’ve achieved this certificate, its validity is for life. Thus, irrespective of when you complete your ATP-CTP, you’re free to attempt the FAA written test whenever you feel ready.
